In August 2025, I opened THE ART STUDIO, a second studio for me with exhibition space.
OPEN by appointment, or if you see activity, come on in.
I share the space with THE ART SCENE/Collette La Rue until June 2026.
In June 2026, I will share the space with artist/painter Andrew Linskens.

From Mar 22 to May 12, 2026 THE ART SCENE & THE ART STUDIO started an 8-week local Artist-In-Residence Program.  We have invited two area artists to work and exhibit their work in our spaces.  Danica Oudeans & Karen Stewart are the first to participate.
They will be open by appointment or if you see the lights on, come on in.

Danica Oudeans: danicaoudeansart@gmail.com
Danica Oudeans is interested in creating pieces that investigate memories of sensory experiences and landscapes, and how time and perspective shape our perception of identity in relation to these experiences and places.
She has always enjoyed working with her hands. Her art has always been an experimentation with materials. Most recently, she has been learning to weave on a floor loom and spin her own yarn from raw wool. Danica hopes to create a series of experimental samples by weaving with strips of old paintings, and other elements on top of these woven histories. Currently, she is the owner of Danica Oudeans Art, where she mentors artists of all ages to reach their creative goals.

Karen Stewart: sorensonstewart@gmail.com
Karen Stewart is a mixed media artist with a B.A. in Communication and the Arts and an M.S. in Adaptive Education. After 28 years of teaching high school art, she left in 2016 to make her own art, study energy medicine, and travel. Karen Stewart has completed the Whispers on the Wind Shamanic Program at Golden Light Healing in Sobieski, Wisconsin. She is a Level 3 Reiki practitioner, has dabbled in Norse runes, and studied animal communication. She completed an Ayurvedic life-coaching program in 2025 and continues to practice Transcendental Meditation. She has traveled to Peru to commune with mountain spirits and spent a month in Silent Awareness at the Arteles Center in Finland.
